This instructional video is one in a series I created to assist UVA students in understanding the complex process surrounding managing finances as a student club (contracted independent organization). I worked closely with two subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the student financial process from start to finish. I then created easy-to-understand video content, with accompanying job aids, that are currently distributed to students who need support navigating the various rules and regulations.

Little Sumo's is a sushi take-out restaurant that is renowned for its delicious food and friendly, speedy service. They welcome many sushi novices each summer. Although the staff loves to actively engage with customers and teach them about their menu, they realized a guide that illustrates the various types of sushi would be an invaluable resource to those unsure of what to order. By scanning a QR code on their phone, customers learn about different variations of sushi. Colorful illustrations bring the Japanese terminology to life.    â€‹

Professional History

I created a simple click-through eLearning experience to illustrate various milestones in my career. This hands-on component allows the learner to be in control of the delivery of information. I maintained a fun and consistent visual style for each layer, from the background to the buttons. Additionally, I introduced a main character to support and give learners guidance on their journey. While it is preferred that the learner navigate in sequential order, I purposefully built in the flexibility for various pathways. Although this took more time to build, it provides a cleaner experience for the learner who may wish to go out of order.
